Electronic Posters: New for 2024, the ICHRIE Posters will be presented on individual electronic screens. Presenters no longer need to print and travel with a hard copy of their poster. 

Mobile App: At the ICHRIE Global Conference, we use a mobile app for all information on-site in lieu of printed programs.  

Call for Papers: The ICHRIE Call for Papers process was completely online from submission to review to decision letters and finally schedule creation. 

Conference Planning, Materials and Catering:  

• Extra conference materials such as registration bags, shirts, and more are donated to worthy causes who have an ongoing need.  
• ICHRIE provides the opportunity for sponsorship of reuseable water bottles that can be used during the conference and long after it ends.  
• The CHRIE FutureFund™ hosts an annual ICHRIE Duck Race and the racing ducks are brought out of retirement from the previous year.   
• The Le Center Sheraton Montreal partners with La Tablée des Chefs redistributing any leftover food from the conference to a local community organization.   

Local Resources: While planning the ICHRIE Global Conference, we are working closely with area resources in the host city for items we may need to purchase. This helps reduce the need for shipping materials and we establish a connection with the host city. 

Partnership: ICHRIE is partnering with the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (SHA) to add to our ability to adopt more sustainable practices at the 2024 ICHRIE Global conference.
