In 2021 Bureau of Labor and Statistics projections show need for head cooks and chefs will rise 25% between 2020 to 2030.

As of May 2023, the food and beverage industry has added 2.5 million jobs in the last 28 months.  This now ranks the restaurant industry as the economy’s top job creator.  Nationwide the industry added 180,000 jobs in the 1^st quarter.
