UPCOMING EVENT

Please mark your calendars to attend the HpBc SIG at the 2023 ICHRIE Summer Conference in Phoenix, AZ, this Wednesday, July 19, at 4:00 PM in Desert Suite VI

Most business schools have college journal rankings for each program to evaluate faculty research and publications. Do you have journal lists and college journal rankings in your business school? What journals are used to evaluate faculty research in your hospitality program? If you have a list or want to propose a journal list for your business school to assess faculty research in hospitality and tourism, this session is for you. I am excited to have our guest speaker, Dr. Faizan Ali, Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator at the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Muma College of Business, University of South Florida. During the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management transition into the Muma College of Business, Dr. Ali researched the top 50 hospitality programs housed in R1: Doctoral Research Institutes and AAU Universities and conducted a benchmark for research excellence in the hospitality and tourism discipline. Later, he completed a journal assessment in the literature and collected journal lists and rankings from other top hospitality and tourism management programs with high-quality and interdisciplinary research in the fields. This session will include Dr. Ali's research insights and updates from his hospitality and tourism management journal list proposal to the University of South Florida business school.
