Have you ever contemplated incorporating new technologies in your classroom?

The Covid-19 pandemic has fundamentally changed how our industry operates and indeed how our students engage. At the same time, rapid advances in, for instance, our understanding of technologies like artificial intelligence or augmented or virtual reality have opened up new ways of introducing variety to teaching and learning strategies.

 The EuroCHRIE member schools Technological University Dublin, Hotelschool The Hague, Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences, and the University of the Baleares combined forces as part of an Erasmus+ project - Transformative higher education through technological ability (THETA) to help lecturers to do just that.

The overall aim of THETA is to prepare students and professionals for a changing profession through immersive real-life learning experiences by assisting and preparing teachers and lecturers in introducing such technologies into the classroom by reducing the barriers to do so. As part of the project, the project team has prepared prototypes of a number of Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality enabled learning spaces and created learning materials to help lecturers replicate these in their own time. This webinar, which will include a short presentation followed by a Q&A session, is designed to offer advice and lessons learned from our experiences and to promote the use of digital learning spaces in the classroom. https://theta-project.eu.
