Job Summary The full-time Chef Lecturer is a teaching chef assigned to the culinary arts program in the School of Business and Public Management in the Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts. This person needs to be a well-rounded Chef Tournant. This is non-tenure track. It is a 12-month contract.
Responsibilities
- Teach in the culinary arts program
- Teach 15 credit hours in each of fall and spring semester and 6 hours in the summer semester
- Maintain on-campus office hours, prepare lesson plans, syllabi, including course objectives, lectures, and other course materials such as quizzes and exams, and submission of final grades and attendance reports.
- Advise students
- Provide service to the College and School
- Assist with program assessment activities
- Assist in maintaining a sanitary teaching kitchen
- Teach in Brunswick
Require Qualifications Educational Requirements An Associated degree in culinary arts from an accredited program
Required Experience More than two years of related experience
Other Qualifications Have a related interest in artisanal pastry
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education Baccalaureate or Masters degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
Preferred Experience More than 5 years of related experience
