Course Director

Hospitality Enterprise conducting a confidential search for a dynamic and experienced individual to fill inaugural position of Course Director. The instructor will be responsible for developing/delivering comprehensive and engaging online and in-person training courses, in hospitality accounting, revenue management, customer service, and other hospitality verticals. This is a full-time virtual position, but Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia residency is preferred.


  1. Curriculum Development: Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments, ensuring alignment with industry standards and educational objectives in English.
  2. Classroom Instruction: Conduct engaging and interactive lectures, discussions, and demonstrations, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
  3. Student Guidance: Provide guidance and support to students, both inside and outside of the classroom, to enhance their understanding and application of hospitality concepts.
  4. Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and projects, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
  5. Industry Relevance: Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in hospitality accounting, and incorporate real-world examples and case studies into the curriculum.
  6. Technology Integration: Utilize educational technologies and software platforms to enhance teaching and learning experiences, including online resources and simulations.
  7. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and seminars, to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of industry changes.
  8. Collaborative Engagement: Collaborate with other industry educators and experts to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting interdisciplinary approaches to education.
  9. Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative responsibilities and committee participation.


  1. Education: Degrees in hospitality accounting, event management, HR, finance, revenue management, technology or a related field is required. Hospitality Industry Certifications are also highly desirable.
  2. Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in hospitality (resort, hotel, club, or casino) is required. Prior teaching experience and course development is also required.
  3. Knowledge: Strong expertise in USALI, financial accounting principles, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis in the context of the hospitality industry.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex concepts and engage students in discussions.
  5. Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse students and staff in a multicultural environment.
  6. Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using educational technologies, learning management systems, and software including Salesforce and Canvas Studio.
  7. Organization and Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  8. Professionalism: Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics, integrity, and promoting a positive learning environment.
  9. Ability to travel up to 20 percent annually.
