Summary
Tri-C has an opening for a Lecturer, Hospitality Management (Culinary Arts) beginning in August (Fall semester) 2024. This position may teach a variety of hospitality management courses including Hospitality, Sanitation and Safety, Purchasing, Menu Planning and Facilities, and Cost Control.
Additional Duties include:
- Preparing and delivering lectures to students on various topics, and course materials
- Evaluating and grading student’s class work, laboratory work, assignments, and papers
- Maintaining student attendance, grades, and other required records
- Keeping abreast of developments in the field
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours
- Serving on academic or administrative committees
- Participating in campus and community events
Required Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field with five years of recent kitchen/cooking industry experience in a full service restaurant or foodservice establishment at a supervisory level (substantial related work experience may be equivalent to a degree). The candidate must be Serv-Safe certified, proficient in related industry software such as POS systems, have teaching experience.
