The Business of Ageing in Hospitality SIG

PURPOSE: The Business of Ageing in Hospitality SIG connects scholars and practitioners globally in order to foster exchange and sharing of knowledge in this growing sector of our industry. We provide visibility and direction to the development of this sector through joint projects with partners from the ICHRIE network and the industry.

MISSION: The Business of Ageing in Hospitality SIG connects, encourages and engages ICHRIE members in the context of the Business of Ageing in Hospitality. Its objectives are to facilitate collaborative research and development that aligns with the UN SDGs and to shape the future hospitality and tourism curriculum design collectively by informing study programs about this natural extension of hospitality operations.

Join the inauguration of the «Business of Ageing in Hospitality» Special Interest Group at EuroCHRIE 2025 in The Hague. 

Please join us at EuroCHRIE in The Hague for the official launch of the SIG, combined with a networking and co-creation session! The session is scheduled for Thursday, 13 November at 09h00. Please see the conference schedule for further details or updates.  

The Business of Ageing in Hospitality SIG connects, encourages and engages ICHRIE members in the context of the Business of Ageing in Hospitality. Its objectives are to facilitate collaborative research and development that aligns with the UN SDGs and to shape the future hospitality and tourism curriculum design collectively by informing study programs about this natural extension of hospitality operations.

The SIG has recently been officially accepted by ICHRIE following a joint initiative by faculty from César Ritz Colleges Switzerland, University of Surrey, Washington State University, ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences and ZUYD University of Applied Sciences.
