Happy December, everyone!
 
Can you believe we have seen most of the year pass by already? That was fast! For me, as soon as I see the last quarter of the year coming, I know it’s time to roll up my sleeves and get to renewing you all!
 
While thinking of all the reasons our members should renew, I get EXCITED because International CHRIE has a multitude of fantastic opportunities and events on the horizon for the coming year—many already on the calendar! Let me give you a few:

• Inaugural ICHRIE ESD Undergraduate Research Symposium, co-hosted by ICHIRE and Florida International University, 21 February 2024, ahead of the famous South Beach Wine & Food Festival
• 2024 Research Marathon in partnership with Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (SHA)
• Release of the highly anticipated certification with Encore and MPI—just the first of many to come
• Additional ESD Events: Chicago in May, New York in November, webinars and more throughout the year
• 2024 ICHRIE Global Conference, 24-26 July in Montreal, Quebec, Canada
• Federation conferences and webinars
• And so much more!

• When does my membership end?
  All ICHRIE memberships run on the calendar year—starting 1 January and ending 31 December.
   
• I didn’t receive an invoice. Can you send it to me?
  Of course! Don’t forget you can also log into your member portal to find any invoices and receipts you have with your membership.

• We’ve had changes in our faculty. How can I add or remove a faculty from my Premium Membership?
  
  The first thing to know is that changes can be made at any time by the lead contact on your premium membership. If you have never logged into your ICHRIE member portal, the lead contact will have access to not only their details but the details for the overall organization from faculty updates to viewing invoices and payment details. Let me know if you need assistance!
  
  The next thing to note is that as of 2024, we’ve added the option to have your administrator—the one who will facilitate payment of the invoices and updating faculty—included on the membership without taking a faculty spot. We know that often it’s not one of the faculty completing payments and updates and we hope this will help smooth the process for our members. Let me know if I can add an administrator to your membership.

• Can I pay with a credit card? 
  Yes! You can pay with a credit card, and we have made it easier than ever by being able to send you an invoice that doesn’t require login! That means you can send it to your department or finance administrator for payment and they don’t have to log in to pay.
  
  We also accept checks, ACH, and wire transfers. For more information, please contact me at [email protected].

• Memberships can be renewed at any time of the year, but to get the most from the benefits it’s always a good idea to renew by the end of the year.
• If you are sending a check or paying by wire transfer, please be sure to let us know either by adding the invoice number to the information or by emailing me so that we swiftly connect your payment to your membership.
• To help the ICHRIE office maintain contact with you, be sure to update your membership contact details as well as any position updates and added interest in Special Interest Groups (SIGs).
